Friday afternoon. I get to the gym for my usual cardio session. I see Amanda at the front desk, her usual smiling face. I offer her a sample of a chocolate product that promotes healthy weight loss. It takes me a minute to find it in my gym bag, which is like my second home. (Rumor has it the entire country of Belize might be in there.)
.
Amanda smiles. “You don’t have to do that.”
.
Larry answers. “I know I don’t. I don’t have to do anything.”
.
Amanda smiles broadly, thanks me and accepts the chocolate.
.
This is a change from how most people respond to Amanda’s statement. I’m sure it’s a BIG change for Amanda, who is used to interacting with people who expect her to drop everything and serve her (there’s a special place in heaven for front desk clerks, wait staff and telephone operators). Most people would probably say something along the lines of “awww, geez. It’s OK. I’m happy to help.”
.
And I am happy to help! It’s fun to bring a smile to someone’s face. But I know I don’t have to do anything. It’s a measure of my confidence, which is unlimited. I know how unlimited my ability is to attract good people and good stuff, and to manifest anything and everything I want.
.
What I have or don’t have at any moment isn’t the issue. It’s the trust in the process.
.
It’s fun to have that that kind of confidence. A LOT of fun! Took a while to get there. It happened through years of study, creating peace and self-acceptance within.
.
And it took finding role models who showed up when I was ready to play with them.
.
Now those with whom the energy is right a match become my friends, customers, clients and business partners.
.
Some even become people I pay and serve because I’m on both sides of the universal cash register!
.
So to all of you who want to know how to build your enterprise - whether it’s a home business, consulting firm, affiliate marketing, even a promotion in your current career…it’s the same answer it’s always been…
.
Develop yourself first.
.
What YOU have or don’t have at any moment isn’t the issue. It’s the trust in the process. The process of growth, and becoming.
.
Don’t sell. ATTRACT.
.
Inspire people. Make them want to be part of your world.
.
And start by enjoying being in your own world!
.
Your Pal,
Larry

Thank you Larry! I don’t think you EVER come across as arrogant. Confident ….yes, absolutely.
I think if one has confidence and focuses on helping others, that’s confidence and a true leader. If one has confidence but focuses on oneself, then THAT is arrogance. And that is never you.
Thanks for this post Larry. I feel I have much to learn from you.
Humble regards,
Jim
